ADULT DAY SERVICES CENTERS IN MEMBERSHIP WITH CAADS
CAADS Provider-Members hold a valid state license, agree to abide by a Code of Ethics, and are screened and approved by the CAADS Membership Committee. While each adult day services program is unique, CAADS Provider-Members share common values: respect for the uniqueness and strengths of each individual, and support for choice and independence.
Each day center designs its own menu of services, but all programs provide age appropriate therapeutic activities, a nutritious meal, social services, and a customized plan of care for each individual. Transportation is provided or arranged. Most programs help families communicate with health professionals and assist with information and referral. There are two models of adult day services in California:
Medical Model:
Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) / Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) centers are licensed by the California Department of Public Health. ADHC / CBAS centers are required to provide skilled nursing care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy as needed, and skilled psychological services. View list of all licensed ADHC / CBAS centers.
Non-Medical Model:
Adult Day Program (ADP) centers are licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. View list of all licensed ADP centers.
