Profiles of the adult day services centers in membership with CAADS are organized by County, then City, then Center Name.

CAADS members hold a valid state license, agree to abide by a Code of Ethics, and are screened and approved by the CAADS Membership Committee.

While each adult day services program is unique, CAADS Members share common values: respect for the uniqueness and strengths of each individual, and support for choice and independence.

Each day center designs its own menu of services, but all programs provide age appropriate therapeutic activities, a nutritious meal, social services, and a customized plan of care for each individual.

Transportation is provided or arranged.

Most programs help families communicate with health professionals and assist with information and referral.

CAADS members may update their listing by using the Web Listing Form
or by marking-up their current listing and sending it to CAADS.

Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) -- "Medical Model"

ADHC centers are licensed by the California Department of Public Health, with oversight by the California Department of Aging.

ADHC centers that are certified to serve Medi-Cal beneficiaries are referred to as Community Based Adult Services (CBAS).

All ADHC / CBAS centers are required to provide the following, based on an individual participant's needs:

  • skilled nursing care
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech therapy
  • skilled psychological services

Link to the state's list of all licensed ADHC / CBAS centers.

Adult Day Program (ADP) -- "Non-medical Model"

ADP centers are licensed by the CA Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division (DSS-CCLD).

In July 2014, the DSS-CCLD launched significant changes to their website facility search feature. For each licensed facility, viewers now see:

  • the number and dates of state inspection / compliance visits
  • number of Type A and Type B citations issued
  • number of complaint allegations substantiated and inconclusive
  • a map with the location of the facility

Link to the state's list of all licensed ADP centers.
